  2. Skills Work Shops Would you like to help you child/ren prepare for pre-school and learn how to help them throughout there early stages? If so we are holding the following workshops Phonics – 6th Feb 9:30-11am Reading – 13th Feb 9:30-10:30am Maths – 6th March 9:30-10:30am Booking is essential for these courses Tel: 01923 262640 Email: thelanes@pre-school.org.uk Web: www.hertschildrenscentres.org.uk/thelanes The Lanes Children’s Centre, St Paul’s School, The Common, Chipperfield, WD4 9BS Parenting Puzzle A 10 week Parenting puzzle course tutored by Families In Focus. This course aims to help families get the best out of family life. The course will look at child development, child behaviour & making positive changes for all. 24th April to 3rd July 9.30-11.30am FREE with limited Creche space. Priority will be given to the Lanes CC Families. Booking is essential please call 01923 262640. We will be hosting the same course Sept-Nov 2014 in the evenings for those families who are unable to attend daytime courses. Beginner Biking Is your child ready to remove the stabilizers? We are holding a Beginner biking course for those children wanting to ride without them Thursday 14th August 2014 10-11am at St Pauls School Do you have a child that would like to learn more on their bike and have been riding without stabilizers, if so bring them along to our Fun Skills held Thursday 14th August 2014 11.15-12.15pm at St Pauls School. Booking is essential for both sessions please call The Lanes Children’s Centre 01923 262640. £2.50per child CACHE Level 1 Are you interested in a career in childcare?, Would you like to learn more about child development, and how to support a child. We are currently compiling a waiting list for parents/carers and anyone considering childcare to achieve a cache Level 1 Early Years award. Do you Run your own Business The Lanes Children's Centre are looking to run an event in the near future for parents that make or sell anything such as: Jewellery, Wood Craft, Cakes, Baking, Sweets, Baby bundles, Arts and Crafts, Jamie Oliver cutlery, Nappy Cakes or anything else. We are wanting to help you promote your business. If you are interested in having a stall at the event or would like more information please call Louise on 01923 262640 Parents Voice Are you a Parent/Carer for children aged 0-5years? We are looking for new members to join us to meet once a term to advice and discuss the services we provide and work with the Children’s Centre to discuss fresh ideas for future services.
