This document outlines the framework for designing assessments aimed at fostering deeper learning in high school students. Developed by Stanford's Center for Assessment, Learning, and Equity (SCALE) and the Stupski Foundation, it focuses on performance-based graduation requirements that integrate multiple subject areas across 11th and 12th grades. Students will undertake interdisciplinary projects and reflect on their work's connection to 21st Century Skills. The assessment system is aligned with Common Core and includes robust scoring rubrics, instructional coaching for teachers, and a database of instructional resources for ongoing assessment improvement.
