  1. Enhancing the power of the Galil Motion Controller using Exor UniOP HMIs April 2006

  2. Enhancing the power of the Galil Controller Start with a great motion controller • Add HMI with built-in gateway to allow the Galil to intelligently communicate with other hardware as a system with 175+ drivers. • Data acquisition with UniNET and OPC Server. • Expand the Galil I/O by adding 16 in and 16 out to HMI. • Add a PLC/embedded logic controller to enhance the power of the Galil Motion Controller. • Many choices of hardware configurations, 60+. A solution that will fit your need and cost requirements. • Windows CE.NET 4.2TM as an optional operating system. • Multi-language support including Asian characters. • Optimized hardware for high volume applications.

  3. Enhancing Communication and Connectivity

  4. Connect Galil to these other controllers for intelligent communications

  6. Collect Production Data with UniNET and OPC • UniOP can act as a data concentrator for many brands and different types of controls. You can work with a single protocol, our free OPC Server. UniNET on Ethernet

  7. Sharing information with UniNET • UniOP can act as a data concentrator for multiple HMIs to a single controller. UniNET serially or on Ethernet

  8. Modularity at the Roots • Modular architecture • Products are built upon common subsystems • Faster time to market for new models • Optimization of the manufacturing flow Display Subsystem, Touch/Keypad Power Supply System Interfaces CPU Subsystem Communication Interfaces

  9. Modular Communication Architecture • All UniOP models can accept one optional TCM/SCM communication module. • TCM/SCM modules and protocols are compatible with the complete range of products • Easy access from rear of units

  18. OPC “Laptop” Setup

  19. “OPC Server” Setup

  20. OPC “UniOP” Setup

  21. Done! Live Excel Data Update

  22. Put control in your HMI“HMIcontrol”

  23. Add Control to any UniOP • PLC Coprocessor Module: high performance control without loading the HMI CPU • Local I/O modules • Fieldbus interfaces for remote I/O. The easiest way to distribute the control system • Compatible with all UniOP panels • Adds full IEC61131-3 programming capability to UniOP

  24. Add Control Capability to UniOP • Just plug a control module and an I/O module into the HMI to make it a true HMIcontrol system

  25. Local inputs/outputs Local Integrated I/O A number of input and outputs, digital and/or analog and/or high speed pulse inputs can be integrated directly in the UniOP panels. Examples: UIM03 (32 I/O) or UIM05 (44 I/O) internal I/O boards.

  26. Remote inputs and outputs Remote Fieldbus I/O A fieldbus connection can be used to control the remote I/O. The fieldbus interface is integrated in the SCM PLC module.

  27. Local inputs/outputs Remote inputs and outputs Local and Remote I/O You can have both.

  28. Local inputs/outputs Remote inputs and outputs Connectivity and Local and Remote I/O Connection to external PLC or Controller This allows for distributed control architectures. This connection does not interfere with embedded PLC performance.
