  3. Article Over Chubby Checker Chubby Checker was born on October 3, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And has had the heart of music ever since he was a little boy. He likes to sing a lot of rock and role because that’s what is in these days. His largest hit yet has reached number 2 in UK and number 8 in the US. His dad is a tobacco farmer, and He married Rina Lodder in 1964, and the couple has three children. when he was a young boy, Chubby worked many jobs shining shoes, selling ice and assisting in a butcher's shop. Because of his weight he got his nickname, Chubby. While working as a teen at Tony Anastazi's Produce Store. With a natural gift for imitation, he enjoyed impersonating the styles of his musical heroes Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley. He began performing in churches and on the streets with his singing group, The Quantrill's, and soon attracted the attention of music executives in Philadelphia. Checker signed with Cameo-Parkway Records in 1959. His first two singles, "The Class" and "Dancing Dinosaur" were minor hits.

  4. Best Selling Novel: 1961 To Kill A mocking Bird by Harper Lee Born Nelle Harper Lee on April 28, 1926, in Monroeville, Alabama. Lee Harper is best known for writing the Pulitzer Prize-winning best-seller To Kill a Mockingbird (1960)—her one and only novel. The youngest of four children, she grew up as a tomboy in a small town. Her father was a lawyer, a member of the Alabama state legislature, and also owned part of the local newspaper. For most of Lee’s life, her mother suffered from mental illness, rarely leaving the house. It is believed that she may have had bipolar disorder. It is a high level novel: good literature that’s both interesting and easy to read The book has two points . First, is about  the Finch, youngest Jem and, his sister, called Scout, and their summer-vacation. They invent wild plans to lure the town’s fear. So they open the door to something imaginative.

  5. John F. Kennedy Kennedy had a tough time getting many of his domestic programs through Congress. However, he did get an increased minimum wage, better Social Security benefits, and an urban renewal package passed. He created the Peace Corps, and his goal to get to the moon by the end of the 60's found overwhelming support The Democratic Party is now poised not only to rid the United States of the Cheney/Bush Administration political dictatorship, but to overthrow 40 years of failed and self-destructive policies that have turned the United States economy into a ball of rust. The way people felt about John: It was a Shock. There also was a fear that this was a act of foreign aggression. 1961: August 17 -- Construction of Berlin Wall begins

  6. Cosmetics! Clothes! I would strongly recommend this product for women around the world. It make your face look brand new and very smooth feeling! (we have the color that fits you) just call in and order yours today. We have a very cute but popular dress here. Our store clerks say “ they haven't seen a better buy than this.” in my opinion this a very pretty dress. It’s the kind of dress that looks good on anyone

  7. The 3 Stooges: The main characters of this show are: Curly Howard Mo Howard Larry Fine The genre of this show is comedy because they are always playing jokes and pranks on each other! And always jacking up something when they have a task! My opinion on the 3 stooges is that they are a great show for kids and adults or just the family I think that you can feel safe with your kids watching this show. My favorite character is curly because he is the one always playing jokes, but everyone has there favorite!! The 3 Stooges is a comedy television show that’s great for a family! The 3 stooges came out in 1930 and are still popular to this year (1961).

  8. Cars Snacks Rear-engine cars are fun to drive and even more fun to crash. While rear-engine packaging offers enormous advantages, putting the vehicle's heaviest component behind the rear axle gives cars a distinct tendency to spin out. This a very good snack for kids or even adults! You can eat this snack dry or with milk its good either way. This is the kind of snack that when you come home from work or school it sounds good

  9. Wilt Chamberlain Wilt Chamberlain was one of eleven children. His parents, Olivia and William Chamberlain, were devoted to the family and hard work. His family couldn’t afford much so he, helped around his neighborhood with odd jobs for money. When he was young, he had many medical problems. When he was a toddler, he got a sickness called a hernia which required surgery. He almost died in the 4th grade. his average was 50 points a game!  Nobody could stop this dominant 7' 2" player.  With those features combined, you have a strong player just standing there in your way of the hoop.  His dream was to become a professional basketball player, and his dream came true! Quote: Nobody roots for Goliath.

  10. Movies Top Cat was a kids favorite to watch back in the 60’s It a bit comedy just to make you laugh! On the Fiddle was a comedy with the very famous actor Sean Connery.
