Life and Culture of the Ojibway People in Upper Michigan and Beyond

DESCRIPTION

The Ojibway tribe inhabited areas in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and other U.S. regions. Their homes, made from natural materials, were unique structures with brown, half-oval shapes and flat sides. Ojibway clothing for men and women was crafted from animal skins and furs. Their diet included fish, rice, beans, squash, and berries, with hunting facilitated by bows and arrows, and fishing through spear fishing. Men hunted and protected families, while women cared for children. They traded animal pelts and enjoyed foot races, showcasing their vibrant culture.
