Products Via Pattern Blocks Guided Example: where the whole is → Shade ¼ of the whole Hint: The shaded region should be a trapezoid. → Outline ¼ of the whole and divide the whole into three equal parts (Hint: think green triangles). Shade one of the three equal parts (again think green triangles). → At this point you should have one triangle shaded which represents 1/12 of the whole. Thus,
