GOALS THIS YEAR I WANT TO GET MY SECOND HONORS BADGE. • TO RISE A LEVEL IN ALL SUBJECTS EACH TERM. • TO BE A ROLE MODEL TO THE YOUNGER STUDENTS IN OUR SCHOOL AND TO ALSO ACHIEVE THE GOALS THAT I HAVE SET FOR MYSELF. • I THINK THAT I NEED TO ALSO REMEMBER TO BE A LITTLE MORE ORGANIIZED SO THAT I HAVE EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR THE DAY. • Personal profile that I made

  4. My term reflection • This term has been a really tough term for me as a haven't done this much work as last year. But I have learnt a lot of new things with my new teacher Mrs. Jalil she is a hard working teacher that pushes us a lot to get all of our work done. I would have never thought that I would have been able to do all the work that I am given. I hope that next term is a better term then this term and that I still am able to get all of my work done.

MATHS • For our math's this term it was mostly about numbers percentages money decimals and average mediums and modes and range and things like that. • I have learnt many different thing in math's especially my degrees and angles and things like that. • Goal: • Learning pathways number and algebra:

  7. ..LITERACY.. • For our literacy this term we did things like reading tasks New reviews and narrative writing. • It isn’t that easy to do reading task as you have instructions on what to do which is really challenging for me to do. • I think I have done my work really well and I’m keeping up with all my work.

  8. .Reading. • This term I did a lot of reading so I could complete a task that I need to do every week. • I was able to complete all my task that I needed to do this term. • We also had to do news review which is also part of my homework. • Learning pathways:

  9. ..SOCIAL SCIENCE.. • This term we were told to do a science project that everyone in our class had to do. • My science project was done on New Zealand • Tourism which I thought was a really good topic to research on and then write about, It took me a long time to gather all my information together and then put all of them into my own sentences. • This term I did achieve on finishing my social science project and I think that I have done really well with my finishing of the project. • MY SOCIAL SCIENCE PROJECT:

  10. ..SCIENCE.. • This term we did not do any science because we did not have any science to do .Next term we will be doing our science fair , Our proposal will need to be something connected to Electricity and magnetism, I have not chosen a topic to do my science project on yet but I shall have a project by next week. • My goal: • My goal in science is to be able to do my science project by myself and to not get any help by others.

  11. ..PHYSICAL EDUCATION.. • This term we focused mainly on small ball skills like throwing a tennis ball a softball and also cricket ball. • We played games like softball hockey tennis and also cricket. • The most fun thing we did in PE was hockey because it was a lot of fun and everyone joined in.

  12. …performing ARTS… This term for performing arts I joined the kapa haka group. In kapa haka we learnt new songs and actions and we learnt how to do the poi, the boys in our group learnt how to use the rakau . I think it was more harder for the girls to learn the poi than the boys learn the rakau dance.

  13. ..TECHNOLOGY GROUPS.. • This term in technology I am in food tech. In food tech there a alotof thing you need to know before you start cooking like your measurements the types of ingredients you need, what’s in the ingredients you are using, if these foods need to be drained or boiled so that all the germs are taken out. • Next term we will change to another technology group which will be out of art and also ICT. • Result for food tech? I think that I did really good in my tech group but I know I need to achieve on other things to.

  14. Environment • This term for environment education we did pot planting , our classroom hasn’t done much planting as there were other things to finish. I think that pot planting is really hard for me. • I learned how to plant a seed and I also learned the steps on what to do with the plant before you put the plant in the ground.

I c t….. • In I C T we were real busy doing things .We went on a website with trips .The website is called learns New Zealand the website gives tips and information about wind power, Marine reserve we even got information from Renewable energy. We also made a website could wet paint, we did things like making wordles which are words to describe things and then they are put together back to front ,side ways, ups and downs and even diagonally. The most fun thing I like about the computers was going onto games when I have spare time.

  16. …Term 2… • Next term is going to be a new start .We will be doing a lot of activities, and the year8’s will be going on camp. Next term we also have haka waiata which is something that our school does every year, haka waiata is about the syndicates getting together and they sing songs and learn actions to the songs. People lead the songs , people might do a whaikorero. When the syndicates have everything prepared we show our performance to other schools and family’s and friends which is something real cool and fun to do. Next term we will do sports that anyone can join from our school and like normal we do our class work , our P E and assembly.
