    2. Rich children Rich children were fed healthy meals, they didnt work, had holidays, had expensive toys they even had ponies as pets. They were taught to play the Piano and they had a lot of luxuries.

    3. Poor children poor children had few luxuries and ate scraps. They live in damp filthy conditions and died of diseases also didnt go to school. Some lucky poor children got to live in cottages and played in alleys streams also yards.

    4. Florence nightingale Florence nightingale helped solders in the war. All of the solders called her the lady with the lamp because she came in on the night times with a lamp checking on the Solders. Before she came to help the solders they were sleeping in dirty old rooms and none of the council who where there didnt care about them. She lived with Queen Victoria until she died then she passed away shortly after.

    5. Victorian toys Most Victorian toys are made out of wood they were recycled from wind mills and the poor people were very clever so they made there own toys like skipping ropes catch the ball and more.

    6. The workhouse The workhouse was not a very kind place. Kids would get Kidnapped and forced to work and if they fell asleep they would get a very disgusting punishment. Most of the children would die at the age of 18. They would get forced to crawl underneath the machines while they were still on to pick up threads or rubbish. Some of them would get traded to other factories like brick or carpet factories and some of the owners had guns in case they had any intruders.

    7. Queen Victoria Queen Victoria was married to prince Albert. She reigned for 63 years 7 months and 2 days. She lived with Florence nightingale for 21 years. She has the longest reign in the world.

    8. Facts The man who invented the light bulb was afraid of the dark. The best cure for a cough was to eat a spider with butter. Queen Victoria had 34 grand children. Queen Victoria had a secret room under her bed.
