Information on ASSIST.ORG • ASSIST is the official repository of articulation for California’s public colleges and universities. • Articulation agreements are formal agreements between two campuses. They define how courses taken at one college or university campus can be used to satisfy a subject matter requirement at another college or university campus. • All of the current and previous California Community College articulation agreements. • It is a useful tool for students and advisors. • Use to locate course equivalencies for general education and major. • Example

  3. Go to: www.assist.org Home Page *Use the drop down menu to choose the California Community College of interest *Information on how to navigate and utilize the website *Valuable transfer information *Links to transfer resources

  4. Example: What is Art102 taken at Orange Coast College in Fall 2006 equivalent to at CSUF? Choose Orange Coast College from the dropdown menu Choose correct academic year to correspond with term course taken Choose CSUF from the second dropdown menu * You will automatically be taken to the next page

Using ASSIST.ORG *You are automatically taken to the page to choose the department at CSUF *Choose the Art department because it is the department for the course we are interested in an equivalency *You will then be taken to the 06-07 articulation agreement between OCC and CSUF for all Art courses

What if the course is not on the articulation agreement? • A student took Art 103 at Orange Coast College in Fall 2006, and would like to know if they can use this course to meet a major requirement? • Art 103 is not in ASSIST • Where can you get more information on this course? You can look up the course description on: www.collegesource.com

Go to:www.collegesource.com • What information is available on collegesource.com? • A virtual library representing 34,714 college catalogs in full cover-to-cover, original page format with 2-year, 4-year, graduate, professional and international schools. • The ability to look up both previous catalog and current catalog years. • The ability to read individual course descriptions. *Fill in desired college/ university, Orange Coast College *Choose the PDF to view the catalog

  9. Using CollegeSource Choose appropriate catalog year *for the example: 2006-2007 Use the table of contents to locate course descriptions

  10. Using CollegeSource Scroll down to desired department and look up course number. *For the example Art 103 = the History of Asian Art: China, Korea, Japan
