  3. Partner Share • What is the pinnacle of technology today? What will it be in 5 years? In 25 years? • Is a submersible practical or fun? Why? • To what pinnacles does technology have the ability to take us? Is this to our benefit? Why or why not?

  4. Amazing Words • Vessel- a large boat or ship • Hundreds of sailors work on that vessel. • Marvel- to be filled with wonder about something • I couldn’t help but marvel at all the creatures I saw in the ocean. • Teach your partner these words

  5. Vocabulary Cramped-not having much space The space in the sub felt cramped. Debris-broken pieces The ground was covered with scattered debris from the accident. • Teach your partner these words.

  6. Vocabulary Interior- inside The interior of the ship was covered in mud. Ooze- slimy mud The parts sank in the slimy mud on the bottom of the ocean. Teach your partner these words.
