Classroom Supplies Needed This Year: In addition to the original list, this is a list of most NEEDED supplies: Pencils Kleenex EXPO Markers (Dry Erase) Composition Books Scissors Glue Sticks Zip Lock Bags (All Sizes) Check with your student to see what supplies need to be replenished after Winter Break

One opera performance and one ballet performance at the TWU campus which correlates with the Music curriculum Omni IMAX Theatre in Fort Worth which correlates with our May The Force Be With You IB Unit (Science) Trinity River Audubon in Dallas which correlates with our Are You My Habitat IB Unit Downtown Tour of Early Denton Communities (IB UNIT)

    14. Classroom Management Each 3rd grade classroom is committed to ensuring that students exhibit an understanding of IB attitudes and profile words. Example: When your student exhibits the following attitude of CURIOSITY (Action Shown) They are then characterized as being an INQUIRER (Character)

    15. Homework Policy Be prepared for your child to have at least 20 minutes of reading homework EVERY night. I will be sending home a reading log for each child to fill out and for you to sign each night. Reading logs will be due on Fridays. Please sit down with your child and have them read to you as often as possible. Any additional homework assignments will be written in the child’s planner for that day. Planners need to be brought to school signed every day. Homework will not be given over weekends or holidays.

    17. Attendance Policy It is very important for students to be in school daily. Please note that you will need to send a signed note explaining your child’s absence within 48 hours after your child returns to school. We cannot accept emails, phone calls, or personal discussions as verification.

    20. General Information Breakfast is served from 7:30am – 7:55am School Hours – 7:45 am to 3:00pm. We do not offer supervision after 3:00pm. Snack- Your child will be allowed to bring a water bottle and healthy snack (no candy please) to class. We will have snack every day at 9:30. If your child gets cold easily please send them to school with a sweater or jacket, my room gets chilly!! Wednesday Envelopes- Each child will have a yellow envelope that will be sent home every Wednesday with graded papers, notes for parents, etc. Envelopes need to be signed and returned the next day.
