  2. Hurdles • Part Time or Volunteer member participation • Full time (Who Pays Overtime). • Volunteer or private Fire/ EMS Companies • Volunteers give up a day of pay or vacation time • How do you justify paying money to a department that pays members $1.00/ year.

  3. Accomplishments • If you want to participate then you play for free or your Department Pays. • No separation of Volunteer or Private • No separation between full time and parttime

  4. Hurdles • East Side vs West Side • Why the Difference between the two

  5. Accomplishments • Rotate the exercise every other year from West to East.

  6. Hurdles • Communication • Different Frequencies • Different bands

  7. Accomplishments • Designed radio template for each band • Took to years to accomplish • Designed Patch Capabilities • High band, Low Band, 800 conventional • Dispatch is assigning talk groups (in the works)

  8. Hurdles • Corresponding • Either send in RSVP to Play and NO show. • Wait to the day before exercise to call and say no. • Just show up and not register • Continuing to work on.
