  1. “You are being called to start a Vigil of Love!” St. Therese Marian Vigil Society "Our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.  Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground."(Ephesians 6:12-13) Start a Powerhouse First-Friday All-Night Vigil modeled after ours! We are here to help you get started! No need to re-invent the wheel!

  2. Mission Statement of the STMVS • To help start and promote Powerhouse First-Friday Eucharistic All-Night Vigils of Love nationwide. • To pray forLIFE, MARRIAGE, FAMILY, AND PRIESTS/RELIGIOUSwhich are essential to the promotion of a culture of life and the renewal of Church and society. • To encourage adorers to pray the ‘Four Pillar prayer’ at their Holy Hour between vigils for Life, Marriage, Family, and Priests/Religious. “The Church in America is in great danger.” Cardinal Francis George

  3. Objectives of the Vigil To pray forLIFE, MARRIAGE, FAMILY, and PRIESTS/RELIGIOUS. To pray forreparation of sins committed againstLIFE, MARRIAGE, FAMILY, and PRIESTLY/CONSECRATED VOCATIONS. To give Jesus truly and really present in the Holy Eucharist praise and honor. Eucharistic prayer, both in Mass and adoration, becomes the means par excellence for obtaining such grace. To seek personal and communal holiness, a goal to which not just a few but ALL are called. “Eucharistic Adoration is like having Lasik surgery. You get the initial jolt of clarity of Truth and then the more often you go, the clearer the Truth becomes. The Holy Spirit reveals much through adoration.”

  4. “I’m Pro-Choice…so is God…it’s called Free Will. Abortion is simply a BAD choice.” Nancy E. Martin Life "I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.  Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live."(Deuteronomy 30:19) • Respect for life at ALL AGES from conception until natural death. • We pray for an end to all actions against life: abortion, euthanasia, human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, and even in Vitro Fertilization procedures.

  5. “Society has greater need than ever for healthy families and marriages that are capable of defending common values. If we strengthen the sacred institution of marriage and the family in keeping with the divine plan, love and solidarity will grow among peoples.”Pope John Paul II Marriage • A permanent Covenant between one man and one woman committed to each other for life. • Chaste and open to life. • Lived according to God’s plan for marriage.

  6. “The future of the world and the Church passes through the family.”Pope John Paul II “The family is a ‘school of love.’” Pope John Paul II Family • Promote the building up of strong, loving, holy, and heroic families. • Preserve the family unit as the basic cell of Church and society from being redefined in ways contrary to the divine law.

  7. “The Truth alone satisfies the human heart’s restless quest for meaning.”Pope John Paul II Priests/Religious and Vocations • To be faithful to their vows. • To be faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. • For an increase of holy vocations.

  8. What does a PowerhouseEucharistic All-night Vigil of Love Entail? • With Love as our motive, these Vigils become Vigils of Love for Love, that one Perfect Love, which is Jesus. LOVE is the greatest weapon. • The sacraments – Holy Mass and Confession. • Devotions • - Sacred Heart of Jesus – the first 9 First-Friday masses. • - Immaculate Heart of Mary – the first 5 Saturdays as given to Sr. Lucia by Our Lady at Fatima. • The power of the Rosary – with all 4 mysteries said throughout the night. • The dispensing of immense grace at the hour of grace, 3 o’clock, with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. • Stations of the Cross for victims of abortion. • St. Bridget Prayers. • Other prayers for Life, Marriage, Family, Priests and Vocations. • Quiet time in front of the Blessed Sacrament so each soul can adore our Lord and LISTEN to the Holy Spirit and then go out into the world and do what the Lord is calling him to do.

  11. “Can you not spend one hour with Me,” our Lord said to His Apostles in the garden of Olives that Holy Thursday night? And He says the same thing to you. Why is the Vigil so late? 1. It’s in the mystery of the cross and sacrifice where the treasure and fruit lie which leads to one’s own sanctification and the transformation of our culture. 2. We pray at this time to imitate Jesus who often prayed late into the night and early mornings, such as in the Garden of Gethsemane on Holy Thurs. 3. It is a time when most people are available and do not have work or family obligations inhibiting them from attending. 4. Our Lord said to Sr. Faustina, “Anyone who prays the chaplet whenever the 3 o’clock hour strikes will receive special favors and great graces. An ocean of mercy is opened at the 3 o’clock hour. I will not deny anyone their requests who prays the chaplet at 3 o’clock.” 5. To sacrifice a bit of sleep for our Lord and these intentions is exactly the medicine that is needed to kill the maladies which infect our country.

  12. Vigil Poster Ask for a Vigil Poster to place in your parish or adoration chapel. If these posters could be placed in as many adoration chapels and churches across the country as possible, adorers and others would be praying for these key intentions of LIFE, MARRIAGE, FAMILY, PRIESTS/RELIGIOUS around the clock and what a transformation our culture could experience. It is to engage people within the parishes to take seriously their responsibility to pray for these four major issues.

  13. Endorsements Endorsed by The Most Reverend Jerome E. Listecki and Monsignor Charles M. Magnan, Rome, Italy “The St. Therese Marian Vigil Society is a great impetus for good by encouraging the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the laudable practice of Eucharistic Adoration for the restoration of the ‘four root pillars’ on which Christian culture is built: Life, Marriage, Family and Priests/Religious.Msgr. Charles M. Mangan Rome, Italy “As a faith-filled person, Nancy realizes that the one true force for conversion of heart and mind is prayer and Eucharistic Devotion and is the key to success. I support Nancy's efforts to draw attention to the great problems facing our society and the solution which can only come through our union with Christ.“ Most Rev. Jerome E. Listecki

  15. We are all called to be saints, and starting Vigil a is a good start towards that end! DON’T MISS THE OPPORTUNITY! “The Christian family, which gives life by love, constitutes an inner energy that generates and spreads peace among human beings. This ‘Domestic Church’ is placed at the service of the building up of the kingdom of God by participating in the life and mission of the church.”Familiaris Consortio p.33 Conclusion The more hearts that are transformed, the more our country will be transformed and Americans will then follow God’s plan, NOT our plan, but God’s plan for marriage, for the family, for life, for the Church, and for ourselves. Let’s walk with His Holiness over that “Threshold of Hope” into a culture of life, into the greatest period of light, evangelization, and peace that the world has ever known – that era of peace that Our Lady promised at Fatima.
