  3. eMINTS Courses 4 course sequence: • Fall EEM 501/601 Introduction to Technology-Based Inquiry Instruction • Spring EEM 502/602 Applications of Technology-Based Inquiry Instruction • Fall EEM 503/603 Implementing Technology-Based Inquiry Instruction • Spring ELE 495-496 Student Teaching in an eMINTS classroom eMINTS Emphasis

  4. Choose 1 or more of the following options: • MED 390 (3hr) Website Design & Construction • IMT 565 (3hr) Selection & Utilization of Instructional Technology • IMT 597 (3hr) Topical Issues in Instructional Technology • Sequenced courses + option to total 12 hrs eMINTS Emphsasis

  9. Portfolio • Required by and approved by eMINTS and contains: • WebQuest • Website • Inquiry-based lesson plan • Reflection eMINTS Emphasis

  10. Site Visit • Embedded in student teaching • Teaching observations • Follow-up coaching eMINTS Emphasis

  11. Location • Courses in area eMINTS classrooms (Greenwood Lab or other local schools) • Courses meet once a week • Field experiences in area eMINTS classrooms for ELE302, ELE500, and student teaching • As per field experience schedule eMINTS Emphasis

  12. Instructors • Courses taught by eMINTS certified trainers • Field experiences mentored by eMINTS certified teachers • Student teaching supervised by eMINTS certified trainer • Technical support specialists available eMINTS Emphasis

  13. Application • Prerequisites for this emphasis: • C or better in ELE 302 or concurrent enrollment in ELE 302 required • GPA 2.75 or higher recommended • CIS 101 or waiver recommended • Essay • Current transcript eMINTS Emphasis

  14. Selection • GPA-2.75 or higher recommended • Professional writing skills • Completion of or concurrent enrollment in ELE302 with grade of “C” or better (grade of “A” recommended) • CIS 101 or waiver recommended prior to eMINTS coursework eMINTS Emphasis
