  1. Routine Immunization and Pentavalent Vaccine Preparedness Assessment (RIPAS)

  2. RIPAS Implementation over three phases across India

  3. Why e-RIPAS? • Paper based data entry will lead to a huge pile of hand-filled and scanned sheets. • Digitising and analysing the paper forms will be time taking, complicated, and error prone.

  4. e-RIPAS System: Sailient Features • Based on open source technology endorsed by UN-GOI (DevInfo Platform) • Can be quickly scaled horizontally (cover more geographic areas) and vertically (incorporate additional forms) • Seamless integration of data entry and data visualisation • Data entry form available both online and offline • Continuous Incremental Development approach • BOT – Build, Operate, Transfer policy for system development

  5. Comparative Advantage of e-RIPAS

  6. Comparative Advantage of e-RIPAS

  10. Comparative Advantage of e-RIPAS

  11. Multiple Options to enter data via laptops or android devices Input data via internet browser, data saved offline and pushed to server when internet available Native android application enables offline data entry and storage

  12. Transmit data to central repository for anytime, anywhere retrieval

  13. DEVINFO Query indicators and create table, graph, and map presentation DASHBOARD Present data on key indicators as a scorecard

  14. Useful information for users

  15. Click to input data

  16. Click to view dashboard

  17. Secure data transfer Authorization based data entry

  18. Offline data entry mode enabled Print filled-up form Select option from drop-down

  19. Built-in widgets for easy data entry

  20. Pre-fill data from standard sources

  21. Built-in loops for data entry (input data for each block)

  22. Provide images for user assistance

  23. Option to input signature

  24. Store filled up forms on local system and input data in phases. Option to export data or auto upload data to server.

  25. Hand filled format not very legible. Limited option for adding text.

  26. Easy option to select multiple issues, select block supervised, and also mention issue resolution

  27. Learning from Training Event • DIOs appreciated the utility of the technology • It will reduce their work load and effort as the online form can also be printed and stored for reference. • Need for an online e-learning module for the DIOs and state stakeholders to undertake continuous learning

  28. Future Road Map • Develop e-learning based learning system to enable users to have self paced learning • Complete coverage of all 12 States • Training inputs will yield future returns when the system is used for assessing preparedness of other vaccines (for e.g, rotavirus)

  29. E-RIPAS:An idea whose time has come
