  3. Summary Create an on-line testing, scoring, and reporting web portal that will be available from tablets (iPad and others), as well as on desktop browsers. It will be defined to best fit the iPad screen size, but will need to work well in desktop browsers. The NAE portion for reviewing daily workload, and issuing tests to RSS, will be created with an MVC architecture suitable for mobile devices, using modern mobile browser techniques. This technology will be needed in order to eventually build out a local database storage capability, which will allow for NAE’s to conduct their activities without the need for 3G or Wi-Fi access. Note that the MVC section will only work well in modern browsers, including the iPhone/iPad browsers, Android browsers, or the very latest desktop browsers. Generally, the web portal will allow NAE’s to set up an RSS and view their responsibilities for testing and to view their RSS’s for their designated stores, as well as to issue tests to RSS at the end of a live training session. In addition, administrators will be able to manage the NAE’s, RAMS, and stores, as well as to create tests. Reports will be available to review activity at the NAE level, the RAM level, and the Principal level.

  4. NAETestingWorkflow RSS Test Taking NAE will be able to reach the test taking start screen from 2 places: • the NAE view, by clicking on the test name link, in which case the start screen will show the selected test in the test drop-down, • from the NAE's RSS view screen, by clicking on the test name link, in which case the start screen will show the test in the test drop-down as well as the RSS pre-selected in the RSS drop-down. After the RSS completes his/her login (registering or using the password hint if needed), the test screen appears with all questions and answers in one grid. The RSS selects all the answers and then taps the "SUBMIT" button. Test results are shown, including the overall score, which questions were correct, and which were incorrect. For incorrect answers, a note with recommended study will be shown (as entered in by an administrator in the test management section). When the NAE is ready they may choose to go to the test Start Screen for the same test, or go there for the same RSS, with appropriate pre-set drop-downs when they get there. The NAE could also navigate back to the main NAE view screen.

  5. Reports Activity Report - Please refer to report screenshots for more information. The Activity Report will show the test taking activity, and related scoring summary for the most recent 2 periods: month-to-date, and either week-to-date or year-to-date (TBD). Each period will head a column group, with each column group having the 3 sub-columns: # Tests Taken, Passing Percentage, and Average Score. Down the left side of the report will be a breakdown, with the breakdown dependent on the role of the logged-in user as follows: • NAE’s: Breakdown by Store • RAMS: Breakdown by NAE • ARSM: Breakdown by NAE, with grouping/subtotaling by RAM • There will also be a separate version, available only to ARSM’s, with a breakdown by Retailer (Kmart, Best Buy, etc.)

  6. Reports ContactReport - Please refer to report screenshots for more information. The Contact Report will summarize the test taking contacts made by the NAE’s, with summaries for 3 periods: Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, and Last 21 Days. Each period will head a column group, with each column group having 2 sub-columns: # Unique Student Contacts, % of Total (based on the total # of students that the NAE, or role, is responsible for at the moment). Down the left side of the report will be a breakdown, with the breakdown dependent on the role of the logged-in user as follows: • NAE’s: Breakdown by RSS. This NAE -level report will have an additional 2 columns for each RSS: Store, and Date of Last Test for that RSS. This NAE-level report will also have an additional feature: A Store Filter (drop-down) to select any one of the stores, or select all stores (which will be the default selection when first reaching the report screen). • RAM’s: Breakdown by NAE • ARSM: Breakdown by RAM.

  7. Reports Results by Test - Please refer to report screenshots for more information. The Results by Test Report will summarize test results by test. Columns include: # Tests Taken, Passing %, Average Score, # Exempt, % Completed. The % Completed will be calculated on the total number of test occurrences as a percent of all potential test occurrences, whether any of the potential occurrences were exempt, not completed, or scored. Down the left side of the report will be the tests by name. The actual data for the cells of the grid will be summarized based on the logged-in user's role, as follows: • NAE’s: Tests they are responsible for • RAM’s: Tests by all the NAE assigned to each RAM • ARSM’s: Tests by all the teachers that are under all the RAM’s for each ARSM

  8. Reports Flat File Export of Test Results The system will include the ability to run a "Flat File Export of Test Results", which will provide for exporting test result data to an Excel spreadsheet for further reporting outside the system. The test result information will include all related information recorded at the time of the test, for example, the store's assigned NAE, RAM, ARSM, and Retailer Name.

  9. Time Table Originally the projected time table from inception to deployment was 90 - 105 days . In order to reach the accelerated date of “June 2011” the following has been agreed upon: • First 60-75 days • NAE will have full functionality to: • Test RSS’s • View at RSS level • View at Store level • Add or Deactivate RSS’s • VertaPointe will periodically provide all the reports indicated • Day 76- 105 • All reporting functionality will become automated and operational • Ability to modify the Agent Code / NAE / RAM / ARSM relationship
