Pre-Schedule Process Overview and Development of Regional Criteria

This document outlines the objectives and framework for the pre-scheduling process as of October 31, 2008. The primary goals include codifying the pre-scheduling process and aligning it with electric and gas trading days to the extent practical. A dedicated Regional Criteria Drafting Team, comprising balanced representation from Transmission Coordinators (TC) and Transmission Providers (TP), has been assembled to engage in activities such as defining pre-schedule processes and scheduling regular meetings to ensure effective development. The draft will be presented to the Market Integration Committee (MIC) by March 2009.

Background Pre-schedule Process • MIS submitted Regional Criteria request. • The Objectives: • Codify the pre-schedule process. • To the fullest extent practical, pre-scheduling should occur the day before the flow day. • Establish a pre-schedule process that aligns, as close as possible, electric and gas trading days. • Develop and document pre-schedule process definitions and descriptions. • MIC assigned to develop Regional Criteria
