  2. LOGISTICS Transport and logistics is a collection of processes involved in the production, storage, inventory, delivery,and distribution of specific goods or services. Truckload Shipping is a method of transporting goods by road. The freight is transported in large truck trailers across long distances. These trailers can carry up to 45 pallets, hold up to 43,000 pounds of goods, and can also be 48 to 53 feet in length.

  4. 1.LTL Partial SHIPMENTS • Partial truckload provides an option for smaller businesses that need to send shipments too large for LTL but not large enough to occupy an entire truck. • PTL shipments usually fall within 5-22 pallets and weight 5,000-40,000 pounds. • Partial truckload is a freight mode for large shipments that may not require the use of a full truckload trailer..

  5. 2.FTL SHIPMENTS • FTL refers to full truckload freight. • FTL shipping is commonly used for large shipments that require taking up the entire truck, or at least close to it. • With FTL, your freight is the only freight moving on an individual truck so you have exclusivity to the entire truck and theoretically are filling the truckload. •  Larger quantities of goods to transport and when speed and protection are key priorities.

  7. 4.Expedited Shipments • The meaning of 'expedited shipping' is a little vague, but essentially it refers to any method of delivery that is guaranteed to arrive at its destination faster than 'regular' delivery methods. • Think of expedited delivery as an umbrella term for things like express delivery, next-day delivery and same-day delivery. • Products shipped using expedited shipping are sent through air couriers.

Domestic Canada and USA Cross Border Services • The agencies responsible for facilitating legal passage through the international boundary are the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). • Avalid passport. ATrusted Traveler Program card. • An enhanced driver's licence(EDL) or enhanced identification card (EIC) from a province or territory where a U.S. approved EDL/EIC program has been implemented. • The border between the United States and Canada is officially known as the "International Boundary," or just the "Canada-U.S. Border" (in French the frontiere Canada-Etats-Unis).
