  2. Thinking and Communicating with Clarity & Precision Day 1 • Discuss with your pair partner: • why thinking and communicating with clarity and precision is important • What are the indicators that thinking and communicating with clarity and precision are taking place?

Thinking and Communicating with Clarity & PrecisionDay 2 • With your pair partner, write a dialogue between a parent and the 17-year-old daughter/son about household expectations for the daughter/son’s curfew on week nights. Your dialogue should illustrate thinking and communicating with clarity and precision on both the parts of the parent and the 17-year-old. Be prepare to share your written dialogue with the class.

  4. Thinking and Communicating with Clarity & PrecisionDay 3 Pair Partner Activity One student is to explain SFHS’ procedures for school lunch. The other student is to actively listen and critique the first student’s explanation. Was the explanation clear? Were there any missing pieces of information? Was the explanation precise/accurate –if not, why not? Explain.

  5. Thinking and Communicating with Clarity & PrecisionDay 4 • Practice for improvement!!! The challenge comes in implementing this Habit of Mind even when you are feeling the stress of a time crunch, frustration, and when others are not necessarily actively listening to what you are saying. • Discuss with your pair partner 3 things that you can do to increase the likelihood of your thinking and communicating with clarity and precision even when you are under stress.
