  2. Introduction Design a strategy • ONE page of an organization/ institution • A typical school may have 2000 or more students, but the school’s page on any particular network will have only 500 or 700 followers • Students don’t feel the worth of joining

  3. Strategy #1: Bloggers Conference • Invite 200-250 bloggers of Karachi • Participants from other cities and countries • live streaming • top 500 education bloggers • top 500 must read blogs • Idea: • To convince bloggers on how well IBA has transformed recently • IBA’s enormous success in getting its students recruited to top companies of Pakistan and even in Middle East. Once these bloggers are convinced they’ll go and blog by themselves rather than IBA creating a blog and blogging about itself • Plan: 30 minute presentation on IBA and its success

  4. Strategy #1: Cont’d>> Success of IBA • IBA was awarded SAQS ACCREDITATION • Max period of 5 years • IBA’s Participation in the Robocup • Quarter finals • IBA signs MoU with Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia. • partnering in research, conferences and exchanges of students, faculty and other related academic staff for research and study • Development Pakistan's first academic search engine, Visioner Search • Empowerment to students • 38 Societies

  5. IBA application on iTunes, Android store and Windows marketplace • Idea: To facilitate the easy and convenient access of information • Immediate target market • current students of IBA • admin • alumni of IBA

  6. Strategy #2: Cont’d>> Outcome • Worldwide Recognition • Current and prospects student can stay in touch with alumni and alumni can in return conduct online mentoring sessions • More beneficial as compared to faculty members acting as mentors • Alumni will have current industry experience and will know what is required. • Attract foreign students and faculty members, both full time and those of exchange program

  8. BACK UP SLIDES

  9. Strategy #3: Target magazines of top tier universities • Plan: • write an article “Pakistan’s university eyes to be in top 100 universities” • publish it in Harvard Business Review and other magazines • Various news agencies (presence on facebook and twitter) • Times of India – 1.5 million people • Why not using IBA’s name and using Pakistan’s name • Idea: Not to create IBA’s page but use news agencies social presence
