OneDrive: Installation • For users with IT Sligo devices (PC’s / Laptops)Please raise a helpdesk request at: https://helpdesk.itsligo.ie Once the software has been installed refer to slide 11 to complete setup • For users who wish to install OneDrive on their own devicesPlease go to the slide 5 for links to download the software for Windows Alternatively for Apple or mobile devices download links are on slide 10

  10. Initial Setup : Setting sync folder location The first time you sign in to the application you will step through a wizard. The first page This is your OneDrive folder will ask you to set a location for the folder, we recommend accepting the default suggestion which will append “Institute of Technology Sligo” to the folder name. 

  11. Initial Setup : Setting sync folder location Next, on the Sync files from your OneDrive screen, choose the folders you want to sync, and select Next.

  12. Installation notes for users with new OneDrive installation: • For a new installation you will then have the opportunity to additionally add your personal account in parallel to your IT Sligo account. • Right click the blue taskbar icon for OneDrive and choose “Settings” • In the “Account” tab choose “Add a personal account” • When directed sign in with your personal OneDrive email address and password • See next slide for additional information

Installation notes for users with IT Sligo and personal accounts configured: • Note when fully configured both IT Sligo and Personal accounts will work side by side with both listed in Windows Explorer and also have individual task bar icons. • The blue icon is for the Business for OneDrive accountThe white icon is for the personal OneDrive account

Document sharing using OneDrive website: To share documents and folders it's best to use the OneDrive website accessed from http://office365.itsligo.ie/ and clicking the tiles icon in the top left followed by the OneDrive icon.  Right click the folder/file to share and click "Share“ or “Get a link”

  15. Document sharing using OneDrive website: When choosing how to share there are a number of options: - Invite People: Using the IT Sligo email address book and a choice of can edit / can view. Recommended for IT Sligo recipients - Get a link: Choose permissions to allow recipients and generate a link for a website posting. Recommended for external recipients - Share with: Shows a list of the existing permissions and give the choice to stop sharing or share with everyone. Advanced permissions can be set here also.
