Forward invoice ASAP ifthey come to schools. All forms are on BLACKBOARD • Staff Development Packets on blackboard (template) must be sent in with all information or they will be returned. Stipends for Staff Development – Teachers -$25 Paraprofessional - $15 • Parental Notification Letters (handouts) for students being taught by non-HQ teacher for more than 4 consecutive weeks. • PROCEDURE – • 1. Print letters, sign and keep a copy. • 2. Send originals to C/O to be signed by Superintendent, copied, filed and mailed • Tuition Exemption Information – Limited to classes for HQ and/or certification in the current teaching area • Other Technology Information – Connect Ed – Correcting bad phone numbers

  23. District’s Vision and Goals District Vision: The APSD will provide all students a 21st Century Education to ensure success in accomplishing life’s goals and dreams. District Goals: • By June, 2014, all Avoyelles Parish Schools will perform at or above the Fundamental Practice Stage of Growth in the critical elements of “Alignment,” “Engagement,” and “Response to Intervention” within the Academic Achievement domain. • By June, 2014, all Avoyelles Parish Schools will perform at or above the Fundamental Practice Stage of Growth in the critical elements of “Physical Safety” and “Emotional Safety” within the Safe and Nurturing Schools domain.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVESAVOYELLES PARISH SCHOOL BOARD2006 - 2010 • To achieve unitary status per Federal Decree. • To continue increasing transparency for Board’s actions as a means of increasing credibility with the public and its perceived negative perception of the Board and/or central office personnel. • To advance the Board’s continuing efforts in maintaining a balanced budget for effective operations of the school system. Have Superintendent present to Board prioritized needs for effective use of limited financial resources to maximize benefits for classroom instruction. • To encourage the Board to develop a policy where all departments are required to establish short term (one year) and long range (3 years) goals and objectives with appropriate time lines for successful completion. • To further increase the use of technology development for the continued improvement of instructional strategies for all schools within the Avoyelles School System. • To organize and implement a pro-active parish management/administrative system with assures accountability for personnel performance at all levels. (Performance based criteria for all employees)
