Sustainable Transport Strategies for Reduced CO2 Emissions in London

This study aims to assess the potential contribution of the transport sector in reducing CO2 emissions in London. It explores baseline and projected emissions up to 2050, envisions sustainable transport futures, and proposes policy packages to meet targets. The project involves simulations, decision-making options, and backcasting to inform future strategies. Training and learning components, dissemination of best practice knowledge, and capacity building at Transport for London and Greater London Authority are key aspects. Academic collaborations include conference presentations, workshops, lectures at UCL, and involvement of PhD students from Oxford University as interns at Halcrow.
