  1. What is AGRF, which companies participated and made impact? The African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) is known to be the world’s most impactful forum for agriculture of Africa. It brings together stakeholders from the agricultural landscape so that it can help the growth of African agriculture. African is prospering with the progress of millions of lives and the entire economy. Even with this progress, Africa has to still deal with food shortage, and they need food security, beneficial trade, and more job opportunities, especially for the youth and women. 2

  2. After three AFRICAN Green Revolution Conferences held in 2006-2009, the African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) was established in the year 2010. Currently, there are 26 leading actors as partners of the AGRF group, who are focused on making the growth of farmers a priority along with the country’s economic growth. The member of AGRF includes African Development Bank (AfDB), African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP), African Union Commission (AUC), International Development Research Center (IDRC), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD, Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH), Syngenta Foundation, IKEA Foundation, US Agency for International Development (USAID), UPL Limited, etc. The Annual AGRFV Summit is being held virtually this year due to travel restriction and social distancing measures. One of the companies that made a significant impact is UPL Limited. UPL limited will be working with the secretariat and organizers of the AGRF Summit 2020, and plans to participate as a speaker on various issues. UPL will head a discussion on ow rice can help to achieve self-sufficiency in West Africa nations, bringing together a panel. UPL also plans to run an independent ‘fringe’ events through online platforms and support the official AGRF programme. Various themes discussed can be incorporated, such as emerging threats, food chain sufficiency, organic inputs, living income, etc. UPL has some additional ideas to collaborate with Chatham house for food security, FAO for locusts, CIRAD for biological products and the DFID/USAID for Public and Private Development. The communications and media relations for UPL will work alongside as virtual support to take forward the themes ofsustainable agriculture, food security, and BioSolutions with a global audience. 3

As the AGRF provides a platform for company news and announcements UPL recommends media engagement at a regional level and for wider sustainability topics and takes the opportunity at AGRF Summit for the International reveal of the Fall Army Worm Biocontrol solution. FAWligen is the first biocontrol solution for FALL Army Worm (FAW), and UPL will lead the distribution of this revolutionary biocontrol throughout Africa. 4
