Key players in the ETD ecosystem—libraries, universities, and IT specialists—are identified, along with future plans for ETD implementation by the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies in Sri Lanka. This initiative aims to enhance research and development through efficient digital dissemination.

Abstract • The acceptance of electronic theses and dissertations – working rich digital documents in electronic form, submitting them electronically and “publishing” them digitally via the library – is growing around the globe as faculty, students, librarians and technologists see the advantage of digital scholarly Communication (Lippincott, CNI).
