Lamartine Meda, Assistant ProfessorDepartment of ChemistryXavier University of Louisiana, New Orleans, LA • Primary Research Interest: Nanomaterials for Lithium-ion Batteries • Direct growth by chemical vapor deposition • 1D, 2D, and 3D nanostructure metallic oxides • Charge-discharge cycle tests • Ex-situ FESEM, XRD, TEM, and XPS analyses • Primary Broader Impact Activity: • Train undergraduates in performing fundamental research in the synthesis and characterization of nanoscale materials • Preparing undergraduate students for graduate school • Interests in New Collaborations: • In-situ microstructural characterization • High resolution electron microscopy • Lithium metal deposition • All solid state battery including inorganic electrolyte An exorbitant first discharge capacity (3260 mAhg–1) has been reproducibly observed upon discharging 3D square pyramidal shape RuO2 4 to 0.1 V vs Li/Li+. RuO2 was grown by CVD directly on the substrates.
