In Week 9 of our Library Information Skills program, students will review essential computer terms, including CPU, monitor, keyboard, and mouse. We'll also introduce key library words such as author, illustrator, and library card. Sessions will focus on hands-on practice: logging on and off a computer using student numbers, accessing the OPAC to look up Halloween-themed books, and reading a selected Halloween book. At the end of class, students will receive their library cards and learn to navigate online resources safely.

Today we will: • Review computer words from last week • Introduce computer and library words for this week • Show how to log on and log off of computer • Show how to look up books for Halloween in the OPAC • Read one of the Halloween books • Pass out library cards • Students will go to the computers
Today we will: • Students will log onto the computer using their student number • Launch a browser • Go to one of Mrs. Kizy’s websites • Report any problems • Log off at the end of class
