THOUGH THE LAKE MAY SEEM UNLIVEABLE, SOME ANIMALS ARE STILL CALLING THIS PLACE HOME. WILDLIFE CONTINUES TO FLOURISH ON FOREST LAKE.
THE FOREST LAKE COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO COME TOGETHER AND HELP FIGHT TO CLEAN UP THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD. MANY HOMES ARE BEGINNING TO BE REBUILT and families restored.
as city officials continue to make progress draining the lake, you can see the debris that is starting to emerge. Here is a stop sign that lies on the empty lake bed.
As members of the forest lake neighborhood try to start to rebuild, they still try to make others cautious of the remaining debris. You can also now see dch hospital from the north end of the lake.
This cross lies in the front yard of a home being rebuilt after the storm. The cross is to remind the people of Tuscaloosa of everyone who died in the April 27th tornado.
This dock used to sit in someone’s backyard, but it now lies in pieces waiting to be torn down and rebuilt.

The spirit of forest lake continues to be full of pride as members help clean up their homes and begin to start over. These forest lake home owners raise their flag high to show their patriotism for Tuscaloosa.
This “we’re coming back” banner hangs up at the north end of the lake to help remind people that this community will continue to rebuild until the lake is back to its beautiful self again.
