Direct Instruction • Listen • Think • Ask Questions when curious or confused • 1 speaker at a time-yield • No Multitasking!
Read Together • Listen • Think • Ask Questions • 1 speaker at a time-yield! • No Multitasking!
Individual Silent Time • Read, write, or think SILENTLY. • Raise hand for anything else • Outside work allowed AFTER assignment is completed.
Discussion • Listening? • Eyes on speaker or notes • Speaking? (remember filter!) • Yield! • Address comments of speaker before you. (agree, disagree, clarify) • Tell WHY and give REASONS • No aggression when disagreeing
Work Time • Focus FULLY on the product • Watch your time • Ask a neighbor before coming to teacher desk. • MAKE IT nicer- enough to share • Outside work/Reading allowed when assignment is complete
Closing Time • Turn in work when directed • Clean desk area- • Book under desk • Borrowed supplies returned • Trash thrown away • Stay at desk for closing activities and bell . CMS , RRHS and Class rules are in effect every minute
