  3. Buckingham Palace • This is Buckingham Palace The English queen Elizabeth II lives here. Outside you can see the changing of the Guards.

  4. Trafalgar Square • It´s the most famous square in London. • There are some fountains and statues in the square, too. • It is situated in the centre of the city.

  5. Nelson´s Column • It´s in the middle of Trafalgar Square. • The Statue of Admiral Lord Nelson on top, stands in the centre of the Square. • It´s about 50 m high.

  6. The Tower of London • It´s nearly a thousand years old. • You can see the Crown Jewels here. • The Tower was built in the 11th century.

  7. WESTMINSTER BRIDGE

  8. WESTMINSTER • The Houses of Parlament are in Westminster. • The real name for this building is the Palace of Westminster.

  9. BIG BEN It was built in 1840. It is 98 m high. Big Ben is not really the name of the clock, it is the name of the bell.

  10. DOWNING STREET • The Prime Minister lives in Downing Street at number 10.

  11. The River Thames • You can go by boat on the River Thames to Greenwich.

  12. The Millennium Dome • You can find the Millenium Dome in Greenwich.

  13. Westminster Abbey • All coronations have taken place there. • King Edward built it in 1065. • It belongs to the Palace of Westminster.
