CPW Week 6 ACT Prep Round 2 Subject: 9th Grade English • Learning Intentions - Today, I am going to practice College Readiness Standards: • Conventions of Punctuation 24-27 • Word Choice in Terms of Style, Tone, and Clarity 24-27 • Conventions of Punctuation 16-19 • Conventions of Usage 20-23 SQUADS • Success Criteria – I am successful if I can • Recognize inappropriate use of commas and semicolons • Use phrase most appropriate for essay’s tone • Use appropriate punctuation to correct run-on sentences • Use appropriate prepositions

  2. 9th Grade English Directions • You will have 1 minute and 30 seconds to work on each question individually. • There will be a stopwatch timer included on each slide for the teacher to set so you can keep track. • After you have completed each question individually, you will have 1 minute and 30 seconds to work as a group and decide on the best answer and rationale.
