  14. The Source of Victory • So because of their repeated unbelief and rebellion, that generation was disqualified • they lost the joy and privilege of being involved in the eternal purposes of God • But God didn’t shelve His plan. • The next generation chose the way of faith

The Book of Joshua • The curtain opensto an exciting new scene • It isn't going to be Joshua's military expertise that brings victory in the land; • God is going to do it!! • Joshua is not simply a diary recorded by a military leader, nor just a great epic intended to bolster our faith by its many victories, • but alsoanother scene in God’sstory …

  16. The focus is on the land • The center stage for God's future purposes • The spot-light of history and Revelation is thrown on this little country (Canaan) as is done for no other land • God’s performance upon this stage is intended for the whole world to see.

  19. 2 Significant Battles • JERICHO : A STRANGE STRATEGY • UNPRECEDENTED, UNREPEATED • “What did the people do?” • Followed God’s unusual directions by faith • God conquered Jericho--single-handedly! • He really doesn't need us to fulfill His plan. • But, He chooses us for the high calling of being His partners.
