  24. Placement of added parts (Pocket) (Pocket) (Pocket) (rear) Heater

  25. Heater • Uses rechargeable battery: Energy Source • Small and compact

  26. Heater>Heating coil • We are going to use a heating coil that will tap into a battery within a battery holder through wires which will also conduct heat throughout the jacket.

  27. Heater>heating coil>for parts • Nichrome wire

  28. Heater>heat • The heating coil will utillize the heating element(air or water)and send that heat throughout the jacket through wires

  29. Factor 1 • Materials on the jacket: Fur Cotton Copper wire

  30. FACTOR 2 • Materials for the heater • Motor • Hardcover casing

  31. Heater materials • Hardcover case:->Styrofoam & tampered glass • Resin?? • Motor??

  32. Final Heater Design • The heater itself is the plastic container • The switch is the syringe - Up is off and down is on • The conducting wire is sewn into the bottom rim of the jacket • Another pair of heating wires leading to the sleeves could have been stuck on with red tape • The batteries are any size just so long as contact between the aluminum foil is made

  33. The heater The switch is the syringe which contains the battery and heating coil is in the heating box The conducting wire is sewn into the bottom rim of the jacket The syringe and the heating box can be put into the pocket.
