  2. Duct sound attenuator The roof and body panels of an enclosed compressor generally use duct sound attenuator material in their construction, which is conducive to a reduction in sound.

  3. Acceptable noise level The main drawback of an enclosed compressor for acceptable noise level is simplicity of maintenance, as the door panels should be removed or opened to work on the equipment. Nonetheless, this disadvantage can be lessened with extra service features, like optimal placement of filters and other serviceable components
