Out of Office Replies • Out of Office Replies are messages that can be created and sent out while you are out of the office. You can: • Notify everyone who sends you an email, that you are going on a trip and you will be gone for the next week. • Customize the response message that your computer sends.
Outlook • Under the Tools menu, select Out of Office Assistant. • Select I am currently Out of the Office. • Enter a message, for example: “I will be out this week…” • Select OK. This message will automatically reply to incoming messages until you stop the Auto-Reply.
Stopping an Auto Reply in Outlook • When you open Outlook for the first time upon your return, you will be prompted to turn off your Out of Office message. • Select Yes. • Now your Auto Reply is turned off.
Eudora • Launch a browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and go to: http://my.nmsu.edu. The Secure Access Login window will appear. Log in with your myNMSU username and password. • Select Email, then under Options select Auto-Reply. • Select a Start Date and an End Date for the message. The response will stop automatically on the End Date that you selected. • Select Enable Auto-Reply. • Enter a message, for example: “I will be out this week…” • Select OK.
