  2. Why a theatre trip? • Numerous long-term studies also suggest that children who view fine arts and theatre do better in school, regardless of their cultural or socio-economic background. Additionally, they experience increased community awareness, social skills, cultural perspective, and artistic abilities. These are all skills that help children learn to function more responsibly within our communities as they become contributing members of our society.

  3. What will the trip include? • Part 1 theatre elements: • Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition and Tour • Backstage Tour of a London Theatre • AWest End drama workshop • 3-4 West End shows • These are yet to be determined and will be selected after close consultation with the English Department. We would like to take students to see plays they will be studying this year. If this is not possible then the closest equivalent will be selected.

  4. Extra Cultural elements to the trip. • This will include: • Half Day guided sightseeing tour of London • Madame Tussauds Visit • Tate Modern Gallery Visit • Choice of Science Museum, Natural History Museum or V&A Museum • Transfers from Airport to hotel by private coach. • Dinners at local London restaurants

Details • The price for the trip is quoted at 1600 JD. • This includes all the elements stated previously. • It also includes return flights • As you can see the trip has a great balance between the educational and the cultural. It allows students to experience a wide range of live theatre . It also allows students to experience the cultural, artistic and societal sides of a great city like London.
