  1. Log In Using Accpac User Security and Business Rules • XL Budget has full security

  2. Budget Filters • Filter budget accounts by segment in the GL

  3. Create Separate Departmental Budgets • XL Budget creates a separate Excel worksheet for each segment in the GL e.g. cost centre, department, region etc.

  4. Budget Figures Edited in Excel™ • Departmental managers can enter their own budget in an Excel worksheet

  5. Consolidate Budgets • Departmental budgets are sent to the consolidated Excel worksheet

  6. Send the Consolidated Budget to Accpac • Choose the budget set and year to upload the budget data directly into the Accpac General Ledger

  7. Double check Budget Upload • Check that the upload is going into the correct year and fiscal set before proceeding
