  5. The Middle Era of Horror Film1968 to 1980 • The Horror film industry really began to explode between 1968 and 1980, and psychological thrillers became very popular and produced many blockbuster films.

  7. Horror Films Today • Today, the horror film industry is as popular as ever. We cannot go to the movie theatre without seeing at least one horror film being shown. All of the different styles from films of the past are being meshed together in an effort to create movie magic.
