  4. Important dates • Applications open 1 March of each year • Closing date for applications is 30 September each year • UP Open Day in May each year • First year’s welcoming day is in second half of January each year

Degrees offered • 22 different undergraduate BCom and BAdmin programmes • 90 postgraduate degrees from BCom Hons up to doctoral level. • A postgraduate diploma in Forensic and Investigative Accounting and a certificate in the Theory of Accountancy • Various short courses through CE at UP. Faculty specific admission requirements • 20010/11 • Appropriate combinations of recognized NSC subjects for admission to degree studies • Admission Point Score (APS) of between 26 – 30 • Life Orientation not included in the calculation of the APS • All six subjects taken into consideration for the APS must be passed on level 4 (50-59%) • Four subjects from the designated list must be included • Mathematics for BCom & Maths Literacy for BAdmin
