  3. Proof of Need • 10 challenging health topics face college students • Integrated Wellness Complex mission • Effectiveness of peer educators • Hands on learning • Learning through technology

Goal and Objectives • Goal: To provide health education related resources WSU students can easily access. • Objective #1: By August 2011, a computer and printer will be obtained, installed and loaded with WELL materials and information. • Objective #2: By December 2011, the health materials and topics students have been looking up and/or checking out from the WELL can be analyzed for topic and material use frequency. • Objective #3: By September 2011, the computer will be programmed and advocates will be trained in so they can use it as a source of information within their organization.

  7. Personal • Health Services Staff • Responsible for Advocate training and conduction of evaluations. • Health and Wellness Advocates • Responsible for interacting with students that use the well and/or check out materials.

Timeline • Obtain Computer, printer and scanner: May 2011 • Install computer, printer and scanner: June 2011 • Train advocates to use checkout program: August 2011 • All students have access to computer and printer: August 2011 • Fall semester computer/printer/WELL usage evaluation: December 2011 • Changes are made to system if necessary: January 2012 • Spring semester computer/printer/WELL usage evaluation: May 2012

Process Evaluation • How are the articles/brochures helpful to students? • How many students are logging in to specific documents on the computer? • How well was the timeline of data entry executed? • What are the strengths and weaknesses of the use of the computer as a resource in comparison to hard copy materials? • Is there room for improvement?

  11. Impact Evaluation • How many students use the computer in the WELL to find resources? • Is the computer an effective form of communication within the advocate program? • Has the computer and printer increased the number of students that use the WELL?

  12. Funding Source WSU Foundation Foster and support the advancement of WSU and through its work to benefit a multi-faceted and diverse population of individuals and groups.
