  7. Surnap is a little tablecloth placed at the king’s end of the table. He used it to wipe his hands after dipping his hand in the laver, a bowl of water.

  9. Action verbs: words that tell you what you are doing. • wipe: I will wipe my hands on a napkin. • use: Please use your napkin. • send: The king will send men to buy new tablecloths.
