Training Objectives Learn how to: • provide skill tests and behavioural assessments to effectively measure job knowledge, skills, abilities and aptitudes. • use SkillCheck Online Testing Service to e-mail an online test session to candidates or employees. • look up and e-mail score reports to candidates, employees or other e-mail addressees. • use management tools, customize the SkillCheck Online Testing Service and use additional in-built utilities.

In your browser address field type: http://www.skillcheck.com.au/online_login.htm First, you should log into your SkillCheck Online Testing Service account Enter your Account ID, User Name and Password and then click the “Enter” link Logging onto your SkillCheck Online Testing Service Administrator Account page

Administer Testing allows you to give a test session at this computer, Restart a test session not completed, Create and Manage filters Search for Scores allows you to retrieve and send score reports for previously completed test sessions within the past 2 years and create a score report for a single candidate showing summary of all tests completed Manage eTickets allows you to create eTickets to be sent to an external e-mail address, Manage eTickets including reviewing status of eTickets or deleting eTickets previously issued Advanced Options allows you to view information about usage of your testing account, Add, delete or modify users, Change global score delivery, Create custom data to be collected prior to a test session commencing and Change your password

  7. Part 1 – Administer Testing

  8. Administer Tests allows you to create a test session comprised of one or more tests to be administered at this computer

  9. Administer Tests allows you to select one or more tests to be administered on this computer. Step #1: Highlight required test and click “Add” to put the required test into the “Selected Tests” screen. Step #2: When all tests have been selected, click “Begin Testing”. Note: If the “Show by Filter” button is selected, your custom test filters will be displayed in the “View” drop-down field as “My Filters”. Most tests have a “Test Description” (shown in following slide).

  10. Test Description shows a brief test description for the selected test. Note: Not all tests include a description.

  11. Score Report to Candidate allows the candidate to request and receive a copy of their scores. Note: This option may not be enabled in your account. Candidate Registration allows the candidate to complete required pre-test information. In this illustration, extra information is required; Pre-test welcome message/ instructions, Company name, Industry type, Country, Telephone #. These fields are created within “Advanced Options | Custom Applicant Data” to be covered later. Complete Registration click this button to commence the testing session.

  12. Restart a Test Session allows you to restart a test sessionwithin 24 hoursof the time when the original test sessionwas commenced. Restart a Test Session – allows you to restart a test session which was not completed within 24 hours of the session having been commenced

After 24 hours, the original test session is deleted from the SkillCheck Online Testing Service servers. Note: You must know the Candidate ID to restart a test session.

  14. Manage Filters allows you to Create and modify test filters to group several frequently used tests into a “filter” so those tests are issued in one step.

Manage Filters allows you to; • Create New Filter by grouping several tests together to be consistently used for similar or the same job roles; • Modify Existing Filter by adding or deleting one or more tests from the custom filter; • Delete a Filter previously created. • Note: If the “Show by Filter” button is selected in the “Administer Testing” screen, your custom test filter(s) will be displayed in the “View” panel of the “Administer Tests” page.

  16. Create Filters allows you to create test filters to group several frequently used tests into a “filter” so all those tests are issued in one step. Step #1: Give your new filter a meaningful name. No spaces are allowed in the filter name! Step #2: Highlight tests to be included in the filter and click the “Add” button. Step #3: Set the order that you want the tests to be administered in using the “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons. Step #4: Click “Continue” button to save your filter.

  17. Modify An Existing Filter allows you to modify an existing filter. Step #1: Selected the filter to be modified in the drop-down window. Step #2: Click “Submit” button to move to the next window.

  18. Modify An Existing Filter (continued) allows you to modify an existing filter. Step #3: Select the test(s) to be added or removed from the existing filter. Step #4: Click the “Add” or “Remove” button as required. Step #5: Change the order tests are to be administered using the “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons, if applicable. Step #6: Click the “Continue” button to finalize your changes.

  19. Delete An Existing Filter allows you to delete an existing filter. Step #1: Select the test(s) to be deleted. Step #2: Click “Delete Filter”. The filter has been permanently deleted.

  20. Part 2 – Manage eTickets

  21. Manage eTickets allows you to Create eTickets to be sent to an external e-mail address.

  22. Create eTickets allows you to create eTickets. Step #1: Select the test(s) to be sent in the eTicket from the panel in the left frame. Step #2: Click “Add” to transfer selected test(s) to the right side “Selected Tests” frame. Step #3: Select number of persons to be sent eTickets (up to 10 persons). Step #4: Click the “Continue” button at the bottom of the window.

  23. Create eTickets (continued) allows you to create eTickets. Step #6: Enter the e-mail address for the recipient. Take care to get the e-mail address correct! Step #7: Select the number of days the eTicket is to remain valid. Step #8: Click “Send” to send the eTicket to the recipients. Normally, eTicket delivery takes 5-10 seconds. Note: It is neither necessary nor desirable to change the “Message to accompany…” or “Subject line” entries.

  24. Cancel an eTicket allows you to Review and/ or Cancel eTickets previously sent to an external e-mail address.

  25. Cancel an eTicket (continued) To Review and/ or Cancel an eTicket, highlight eTicket in the drop-down box as shown.

  26. Cancel an eTicket (continued) You have two options; “Delete” will permanently delete the eTicket. “Cancel” will exit the window without deleting the eTicket. Note: eTickets noted as “Available” have not been accessed; those noted “Incomplete” have been accessed and not completed; those noted “Complete” are completed. Date format is in yyyy-mm-dd format and when the date shown is passed, the eTicket cannot be accessed by the candidate.

  27. Part 3 – Search for Scores

  28. Search for Scores allows you to retrieve and send score reports for previously completed test sessions within the past 2 years.

  29. Search for Scores You have two options; “Standard Test Report” for a multi-page report for one or more completed tests. This is the most commonly used report format. “Candidate Profile Report” for a one-line-per test report of all tests a specific candidate has completed. This is illustrated in later slides.

  30. Search for Scores allows you to access reports for tests completed by a specific candidate. Step #1: Enter search criteria. Often, a person’s first name will find the test report(s) required. Step #2: Select an appropriate date range. Step #3: Click “Search” to access the report(s). Note: Score reports are available for up to 2 years after completion of a test. You may also search by test score range for some tests. You may also search for tests issued by a particular User Account.

  31. Search for Scores (continued) One or more results may be found. Step #4: Select those score reports you require. You may select more than one report, as shown here. Step #5: Select a score delivery format. PDF is recommended. Step #6: Enter an e-mail delivery address where the score reports is to be sent. The score report(s) will normally arrive at the destination e-mail address in 5-15 seconds. Note: If no search result is returned, this may mean the candidate has not completed any tests or that the search criteria was not valid (e.g. name misspelled, test results on record outside the date range specified, etc.)

Step #5: Select “Show report on screen” if you wish to view the report on screen. See next slide for an example of this type of report. Step #6: Enter e-mail address where the score report is to be sent. Step #7: Click “Get the Report” to access the report(s). Note: Score reports are available for up to 2 years after completion of a test. The score report(s) will normally arrive at the destination e-mail address in 5-15 seconds.

  35. Search for Scores – this is an example of a “Candidate Profile Report”. This report summarizes all tests completed by a specific candidate during the date range selected.

  36. Part 4 – Advanced Options

Advanced Options allows you to perform a range of tasks; • View Account Information about usage of your testing account • Check Meter Usage (if applicable) • Add, delete or modify account users (Manage Users) • Set up and change Global Score Delivery and Candidate Score Report Options • Create Custom Data fields to be completed by the candidate prior to a test session commencing • Change your password

Advanced Options allows you to: • Access Account Information about usage of your testing account • Check Meter Usage (if applicable to your account) • Manage Users • Access Score Delivery Options • Create Custom Applicant Data to be completed by the candidate prior to a test session commencing • Change Password • Note: Not all users may have access to all of these options.

  39. Account Information enables the account administrator to access reports about usage of the testing account.

  40. Account Information allows you to access reports for tests completed by a specific user or all users over a defined date period. Step #1: Select a specific user account or “All”. Step #2: Select a “Start Date” and an “End Date”. Step #3: Choose a “Delivery Format” for the report. Step #4: Enter an e-mail delivery address where the report is to be sent. Step #5: Select “Show user account” if you require a breakdown of the number of tests completed for each user. Step #6: Select “Display the usage report on screen” if desired. Step #7: Click on “Run Report”. Note: Score reports are available for up to 2 years after completion of a test.

  42. Meter Usage if applicable to your account, will show remaining meter credits available on the account. Not all accounts have this option enabled.

  44. Manage Users enables the account administrator (only) to add, edit and delete users.

  45. Manage Users is only available to the account administrator. New users may be added, or existing users edited or deleted as required.

  46. Manage Users allows you to add a new user account. Step #1: Create a “Username”. Step #2: Enter the new user’s “E-mail Address”. Step #3: Enter the new user’s full name. Step #4: Enter the new user’s job role. Step #5: Leave the next two fields as “default” unless this user requires brief special instructions to candidates. Step #6: Select “Send a copy of results to this user”. Step #7: Select a delivery format. The PDF format is recommended. Step #8: Click “Save Changes”.

  47. Manage Users the “Edit Existing Users” function allows you to edit an existing user account. Step #1: Change information as required. Step #2: Click “Save Changes”.

  48. Manage Users the “Edit Existing Users” function also allows you to delete an existing user account. Step #1: Highlight user to be deleted. Step #2: Click “Delete”.

  49. Score Delivery Options enables the administrator (only) to create, edit and delete global score delivery options. The e-mail address(es) in this area will receive score reports for every completed test regardless of which user initiated the testing session.
