  2. Chapter 4 Allusion #1 Not a… “…all those days and nights on the Greyhound.”(74) The Greyhound is a bus that travels cross country.

  3. Chapter 4 Allusion #2 “…it made her feel stuffed with potato-chip casseroles and Coca-Cola cake. (73) Coca- Cola cake is a really moist chocolate cake.

  4. Chapter 5 Allusion #3 “…I got in a fight with the manager and threw my red so-called jockey cap in the trash…” (88) Jockey caps are another word for base ball caps.

  5. Chapter 5 Allusion #4 “Their favorite show is old reruns of Mr. Ed,”...(88) Mr Ed was a TV show (1958–1966) about a horse that could talk.

  6. Chapter 5 Allusion #5 “ On the tray were decals of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, which Turtle was slapping with her hands” (98) Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy were part of the Muppets a popular group amongst children.

  7. Quote #1 • …Angel had agreed to move back in until after her mother and grandmother's visit…”(72) Chapter 4( indirect characterization) • This shows that Angel is selfish. Angel was moving back in for the time to prove to Lou Ann’s Family that he wasn’t what they thought he was. He was doing it for himself.
