  7. Caring for 1st degree burns • Apply cold water • Submerge in water • Lotion/ointments • Pain medications

  8. Caring for 2nd degree burn • Submerge in cold water • Cold clean cloths • Dry area • Put clean dressing on

  9. Caring for 3rd degree burns • Cover with clean cloth • Do not remove burnt clothing • Get physician help immediately

  10. Homework Write about the steps you would take if you had to handle each type of burn. Write one paragraph each about 1st degree burns and care, 2nd degree burns and care, and finally 3rd degree burns and care.
