  3. Transferring photos from camera • Remove memory chip from camera • Push and release • Insert chip in memory chip slot on laptop • Don’t get your fingers on the metal contacts

  5. Transferring photos from camera • Move the first window to the top-left corner of the desktop. • Open a window for the folder into which you want to copy the photos

Transferring photos from camera • Move the ‘destination’ window to the lower-right area of the desktop. • In the ‘origin’ window, highlight the photos you wish to copy. • Click and drag the selected photos to the ‘destination’ window. • Close the ‘origin’ window. • Put the memory chip back in the camera.

  9. Edit the photos in Picasa • Open Picasa • Navigate to the folder that you copied the new photos into. • Check that they are rotated, colour balanced, cropped, touched up for red-eye, and straightened • Add captions to each photo

  10. E-mail your photos • Select the ones that you want to e-mail • Click on the e-mail icon • Enter the addresses • Add a message • Click on send

  11. Post your photos to a web album • Select the photos • Click on the Upload icon • Enter the name of the album

  12. Editing your web album • Add captions • Select one photo to be the “Cover” image • Re-arrange the order, if necessary

  13. Sharing your web album • Click on “Share” • Enter the addresses of the people you want to see your album • Write a short note • Click on send
