  2. How to make a Podcast Once the audio or video files are created, there are resources on the internet, available for free, to supply all four steps required to set up a podcast on iTunes.

  3. www.archive.org This site will host audio or video files for free. The interface and response is a bit slow, but it is free. Best used in combination with the next site.

  4. www.ourmedia.com OurMedia provides the best interface to upload files to www.archive.org.

  5. Downloadable tool for uploading large files.

  6. www.blogger.com • Blogger.com is a site that will host your personal web log for free. • Once everything is set up, you ONLY update this site whenever you have a new file uploaded.

  7. Example Blog: http://Sciencetheater.blogspot.com • An example Blog • There are many options to format things according to your preferred color schemes, etc… • If you plan on podcasting your site on iTunes, it helps to make a pretty little graphic image to advertise

  8. www.feedburner.com • Feedburner is used to “encapsulate” your Blog on www.blogger.com and set things up so an RSS reader or iTunes can be aware of new files and their format.

  9. Example RSS Feed Note the little “play me” buttons indicating the feed is correctly encapsulated.

  10. Turn on iTunes options Setting things up for iTunes over on FeedBurner is as simple as filling in the blanks under “SmartCast”.

  11. Submit Feed to iTunes Start up iTunes and go to the “submit Podcast” section and simply type in the URL for the Podcast feed. (You get this from FeedBurner…)
