Novus Mindful Life welcomes Licensed Marriage and Family Novus Mindful Life welcomes Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Alina Nejadian Therapist, Alina Nejadian Long Beach, CA | January 19, 2018 – Novus Mindful Life Institute Family Counseling and Recovery Center, a counseling office in Long Beach California, welcomes Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Alina Nejadian, to our therapist team. Alina Nejadian earned her Master’s of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills in December of 2011. She previously attended California State University, Long Beach, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2008. In June of 2017, The California Board of Behavioral Sciences awarded Alina her state Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license. Prior to joining Novus, Alina served as a clinical director, medical caseworker and behavioral interventionist, during which time she helped many clients including inmates within a jail as well as people who were homeless. She is also passionate about helping veterans overcome trauma. Alina’s focus now is on helping client’s who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress or anger. She is also passionate about helping young couples work through communication and behavior struggles to help them develop the skills and habits necessary to build and nurture their relationships so they can grow healthier and stronger futures. At Novus, Alina also participates in training to provide support to the spouses and partners of individuals struggling with​​sex addiction​ or​​pornography addiction​. She currently conducts sessions of individual therapy, couples therapy, and co-facilitates several groups including a men’s sex and porn addiction process group as well as a co-ed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group. Alina can also conduct therapy session in both English and Farsi. When asked who she wants to reach out to, Alina states: “I want to let people know that if you are struggling with any trauma, anxiety, depression or communication issues with your partner that I am here to help and serve as a healing resource to bring support and health into your life.” 2018 marks the 9th year Novus has had the honor of providing expert and compassionate counseling and mental health care in the city of Long Beach.
