  5. Lara Croft Consider the following: • Costume/make-up/hair • Values of character • Facial expression • Genre How is femininity being represented? How is Lara Croft being represented?

  6. Dan Marshall Consider the following: • Costume/make-up/hair • Values of character • Facial expression • Genre How is masculinity being represented? How is Dan Marshall being represented?

Other aspects to be considered: • Representation of violence: • Does it sensationalise violence? • Does it make the use of weapons appealing? • Representation of settings: • Glorify exotic • Glorify deprived areas • Representation of stereotypes: • Are all stereotypes presented? • Are stereotypes fair or even accurate?

  8. Activity of three! • Identify three prominent characters from three different video or computer games for three different audiences • Find an image of each character • On each slide, do a representation analysis of each character like we did for the two previous characters
