Kuldeep Yadav Reveals His Plan to Feature In T20 World Cup Young India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been in a poor form for the last couple of years and eventually dropped from the team as well. He last played in the ODI match against England earlier this year, but he couldn’t take any wicket. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 too, Kuldeep Yadav didn’t get to play for his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). While talking about the same during a chat with ANI, Kuldeep Yadav said, “I think since the last year, I haven’t played as many matches. I haven’t got as many possibilities. To be very honest, frustrating wouldn’t be the correct word, as a player you are sad because you want to perform, you want to play the match. You can think like that, individually but not with cricket. Team combination for me has always been good, all have been supportive. Arun sir and Ravi sir always have positive things to say. They used to tell me about the changes needed in bowling techniques, the pace, demand of the situation, etc. We worked on that, plans to tackle each batsman.”
However, Kuldeep Yadav has been added to the squad for the upcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka where Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side. The series comprises of three ODIs and as many T20Is as well. The spinner has also said that quarantining alone in a room can be challenging for any player. Notably, the team has started quarantine in Mumbai before flying to the island nation. He also stated that both Virat Kohli and the head coach Ravi Shastri support him. And, if he manages to do well he can be seen in the rest of the Indian Premier League games too which will resumes in the UAE during September-October and there is possibility of getting a chance to be in the T20 World cup squad as well.
