Yuvraj Singh Hopes India To Defeat New Zealand In WTC Final Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh said that the Indian team will be able to registered a win over New Zealand in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final as they have been doing well on the overseas tours. Notably, India topped the WTC standings with 72.2 PCT after getting 520 points to reach the final as well whereas New Zealand are standing at the second place with 70 PCT and 420 points, surpassing England, who collected more points (442) but had a lower PCT (61.4) as well. Image source by twitter During a recent chat on eSalaamCricket, Yuvraj Singh said, “I think it’s a very good idea to take Test cricket to the next level, I feel India is very strong because India has performed brilliantly on overseas tours, won twice in Australia. I think India have the belief that they can win anywhere, but the conditions in England are different, I am sure India should beat New Zealand.” The one-off final at the Rose Bowl will decide the best team in the two-year cycle of the World Test Championship, which was taken place in 2019 to create a special place for test cricket. However, New Zealand have prepared well for the WTC Final by facing England in a two-match Test series which started on June 2. While the first Test at Lord’s ended in a draw, they won the second Test in Birmingham before taking on Virat Kohli’s Tea India in Southampton from June 18 as well.
